More technical help required

I want to rip a DVD to my hard drive. I don't have any specific DVD ripping software. Do I need any, or can I do it with another programme, like Quicktime or iTunes or something?

Ah, darn, can't help much, then. I *think* that if you can see the files on the DVD (rather than having it play automatically) you can pull them across without special software, but I can't swear to it.

how do you want to be able to view the dvd once on your computer?

If you want to view them on your computer or on a portable device I use DVD Catalyst. Its free and quick.
