ok, so my computer detected a virus. i now have a norton antivirus popup window that i can't get to close. it says ( Read more... )

I would suggest the safe Mode option.
and if you do want spyware detection and cleaning use 'Spybot Search and Destroy'
It will mark the corrupt file so that it will not load at startup and then your norton can take care of it.
When you start in safe mode your PC will not load any auto start applications. you can then run your Norton and have it quaratine the .dll (Dynamic Link Library) file.

ok. but i'm not sure how to reboot in safe mode...so i'll try, but maybe if fyou want to let me know how to do that b/c...well i'm computer illliterate. ;) *THANK YOU SO MUCH* :D

ok, i just downloaded a spyware thingy (lol, sorry) and it got rid of it. i tried to start my computer in safe mode...followed the directions my computer gave me...and it didn't work. so i downloaded the spyware and it worked. thanks so much!!! :-D
