This is my ninth Christmas in Sweden and I still feel like it's cheating to open all the presents on the 24th.

I would think it would make Christmas feel a little anti-climactic but we're always here in the US so I guess I'll never know.

We were one of those "weird" American families who always opened on Christmas Eve, and every year I'm glad that I didn't have to make that hard adjustment upon my move to Sweden.

I agree! It is TOTALLY CHEATING! Your Grand daddy would make us wait until he had shaved and cooked breakfast.... and we had to actually eat breakfast before opening any packages. (And it didn't matter if you gulped your food down. Breakfast was not over until Daddy finished. He knew how to stretch Christmas out to the very limit!!)
