Man alive, it's been a minute. Who woulda thunk updating would have become such a task? I used to do it throughout the day at work but now that I'm one of the few who are blocked from virtually every site imaginable, it slips my mind ( Read more... )

I had my first IRON transfusion today (not to be confused with blood transfusion).

I don't think I'm gonna die; matter of fact it went really well. It only took 30 minutes which was a hell of a lot more pleasant than the 2 hours they said it would take!

I have 4 more transfusions and they have me taking heavy dosages of Ferrous (iron pills). I'm also on the big B/C to "slow things down" while my body recooperates. I'llprobably have to have these damn Fibroids removed (which is a BIG culprit to my health problems) and after that - I should be good to go. ;)

I didn't know your intestines aren't functionally. Woman! Do you realize that a lot of this stuff is treatable but not curable?!!

I didn't know either. It's not that big of a deal, but it does explain a few things that I'll refrain from mentioning up here. ;)
