"Hello?"

Andrei sounds polite-bland. He hasn't glanced at the call display.

"Andrei?"

She leans against the wall and looks out at the window, chewing her lip thoughtfully. It's a nice enough day, nice enough for what she'd been thinking.

"It's Sera. Are you busy today? I had thought we might go out."

"Sera."

His voice immediately changes, filling with casual warmth.

"That's a lovely idea. Shall we meet somewhere?"

"A park," she says immediately.

"Somewhere sunny and nice."
