Yesterday I was at the hospital for my scoliosis appointment, and they took some x-rays, and we waited. Then we were shown into another room and we waited. The assistant doctor came in, said it looked okay, and left. We waited some more, and the doctor came in and said "This looks ok, come back in a year," and then we left

You know that my mom recently went to a funeral?
It was for a baby.
The mother's like 40 and father's 50 or something and they have no kids. Took years for the mother to get pregnant and first time she had miscarriage. This time, she waited until 8 months into the pregnancy to finally tell people she was having a baby because she was afraid something would go wrong. They had the shower party. The woman gave birth to a healthy child, but just over an hour later, it stopped breathing and was put on a respirator. I can't remember how long, but I think three days the baby was in a completely unresponsive state when they decided to let it go. The mother said that when she found out it was a healthy boy, she relaxed. She was so happy. She had a room all set up for the child. I didn't see, but at the funeral, mother said she thought it was so well planned, she'd thought a professional helped set it up, but the parents did it all.
The funeral was on the mothers birthday.
