'hold fast' :) it's just the first piece of my sleeve, which is girlied-up traditional sailor imagery- to the right of my bird, tucked underneath her wings, will be a lighthouse. somewhere, slater will work in a ship's wheel and a compass, too. perhaps we'll get a nautical star put in there someplace, if we need filler. :)
I meant to tell you I loved this when you first posted it. I can't get the angle, is that your waist or your leg? Most of my sleeve had really thick scabs as it was healing. I made it worse by picking at them, of course, I can't stand not to!
it's my arm resting on my leg. :) it's good to hear that your arm scabbed thickly, too. i'm pretty good about not picking them- they hurt too bad to pick! ;)
unfortunately for me, I can handle pain worse than I can seeing scabs flaking off. It's in my nature to pickpickpick until it's all smooth. Mine definitely scabbed off really thick pieces and they were how you described it, thin and shiny looking. The touch up always makes it look really similar to how it first looked although I don't think tattoos ever look as good as they do in those first few hours in between being swollen and red! Haha. Cocoa butter always really helped me. Anything else just sucked. Definitely don't try neosporin (sp) whatever you do. Straight vitamin e oil is nice, too.
