Hmm... I never did much care for guns. I prefer hand-to-hand combat above everything else, even though I carry a sword most of the time. It's more of a symbolic thing for my family. A crossbow huh? I don't think I was ever trained in that weapon. Bows and arrows, yes, but I think I skipped over the crossbow lesson.
Some people would consider what I do a vacation with all the traveling that goes on... But truly, I haven't had a "break" from my duties since I was... fourteen I believe...
Hmph, I'm glad I don't have to go to school anymore.
Really? I know several hunters that fight like that. It's easier to run around and stuff without all the weapons and stuff, right? I guess you can't really ditch the sword though. Might come in handy one day, though. 8D And yes, a crossbow. It's fairly easy, it's kinda like firing a gun but I think the sound's a lot less harsh on the ears and it looks sexier. Guns are usually the prized weapon now though. D: I've gotten so used to firing and reloading a crossbow that I can't change. :D;;
Really? Yeah, the industry's harsh, huh? I guess I'm a bit hardcore about hunting, though, so it's a bit different with me. I can't really say I want a break.
Maaaan! Technically, I don't have to, since I already graduated high school, but I know that my mom would get on my ass if I didn't go to college. Luckily it's easy to work around my hours.
I was trained in many forms of combat, I just feel that I can do more damage with my fists. It makes you faster too. The sword I have is a family heirloom, though it is still as sharp as the day it was forged. *smirks* Sexier? That I'd have to see for myself.
It can be... at times. I've been under hunter code for my entire life, I guess that could be called hardcore.
I got homeschooled. Once I officially became a hunter on the field I had no more need for lessons.
All metal, sleek, shiny~ It's got all the works. It is way sexier than any gun, trust me.
So, you were born a hunter? Man, you guys have got it made. You start training since you can walk, learn how to fight when you're young. My mom used to ground me whenever I fought. D:
I'd take to bladed weapons before anything, but I don't think I'd rely on a crossbow if my life depended on it. If the recoil gets you learn to adjust your weight. It's not that hard.
If I'm already kickass at one weapon, why should I change just because technology has? I mean, I wouldn't tell you to trade your sword in for a crossbow, would I?
Variety tends to be a good thing from my experience. Aside that the manual loding for a crossbow is less advantageous in close-range combat situations and I'd think you're bound to encounter those. Vamps are fast.
Nor would I listen to you if you did. My gunblade's badass. It's just advice.
