Hello, good morning

Feb 23, 2011 08:50

I have to confess it thrills me when I see a picture of these two together, specially when they're both SMILING.
Now, if I were into writing RPS fic, this would have been a spicy pairing. And I'm not opposed to reading any, by the way.

Love that kid in the Stoudemire jersey.

This cracked me up.

The two players who eluded me when I watched Celtics-Clippers at Staples Center. Let's not make that happen again, m'kay?

I guess they've patched things up since their war of words. Maybe.

At least not on the court, of course.

I sure hope this conversation was bugged.

This is something that you don't see every day either-and it was pretty cool hearing LeBron rally the East.

I really wasn't too bummed out when Paul didn't win the three-point shootout, but I would have been disappointed if he and Ray Allen hadn't reached the final round. Of course, I entertained the thought of what my brother (1) would call a "combo breaker," and that certainly turned out to be the case. Even my brother (2) admitted that he didn't mind having Paul win (my brother puts up a show of Pierce hate in my presence), because he knew that Paul's speech would have been another memorable one.

But my night/morning was already made when he did this:

It was awesome. I already got all giddy during the player introductions when he did that. And I sensed, during the contest, he was absolutely enjoying himself. I thought it was just the fangirl in me who got that palpable sense across the Pacific, but even therese6883 said that he looked like he was having fun. And surprisingly, he was smiling through the entire post-contest press conference.

And, oh, the Diddy/Dirty Money intro song where it goes, "I know who the truth be", and they just happened to show a Pierce clip-I dare anyone to convince me that that wasn't deliberate. ;)

As for the chilly reception he got...do you really expect Laker fans to be classy? I have a better chance of winning the lottery without even having a ticket.

- I wish they picked everyone to go to the final round in the Slam Dunk Contest, but ah, TV time.

- Did anyone else feel uncomfortable when Craig Sager was grilling Justin Bieber about driving?

- I really think that's KG himself writing in his blog, as opposed to Paul, who relies on ghostwriters. I have to feel sorry for the guy with the task of translating KG's blog into Chinese.

That's enough for now. Back to work.

Want: A jetpack
Need: To maybe drive less aggressively. Considering I've only been driving on my own for less than a month.
Miss: Mendocino Farms
Love: The Spa
Hate: Co-workers with unnecessarily loud voices
