I thought the point was that she didn't save her marriage, that she just went into it anyway knowing how it and everything else was going to end?

Other than that, I agree with a lot of points, including the excruciating slowness part, but I overall liked it. *shrugs*

Ah, I got from it that she went into it knowing her daughter would eventually die but that she now knew how to at least save her marriage--I hoped so, anyway!

I'm glad we saw eye to eye on many things. I didn't hate it, either, and some things were pretty awesome, I just felt like it could have been so much more!
