Andrea had asked about book club books on Twitter, and since I have a list of books, I thought I would post, even though she was mostly asking M. (Is it butting in when the post is on Twitter

LOL. I started bolding and was bolding so much, it felt ridiculous.

Not butting in at all! But, with only 140 characters, can only tag so many people. I was kinda hoping/assuming you'd see it, too, since I know you also follow her. ;-)
Oh, if I'm not interested, I just don't read them. Or if we don't like them, we all usually abandon them at some point along the way. That's what happened with this month's book ("Skippy Dies"). I think only one person persevered to the end, and regretted having spent so much time on it. Everyone else was like "I hated it and quit." ;-)
That is such an encouraging title and all I can think about is a Australian Childrens Tv Show called Skippy the Bush Kangaroo.
So basically the title of that book would have made me go "No. Not reading about a beloved childhood institution/animal dying" Although I'm sure it's not about that.
Skippy is a 14 year old boy. Basically most of the book was waaaaay too much time inside adolescent boys' minds and/or kind of depressing and/or following some adults who were making lots of bad life decisions.
So, you know, if you want to spend 670 pages reading about potty humor, 14 year olds looking at internet porn and talking about blow jobs, teens buying/selling/snorting Ritalin (and who knows what else), and their teachers cheating on their significant others....it's the book for you. If not, I'd give it a pass. ;-)

That's a great list. Kinda makes me wish I was in a bookclub ( but in practice, I know I'd get annoyed at "having" to read things.)
