So, in this AP article Rich Gossage says, "Chances are, I probably would have done it [used steroids], too... I've been in that situation, trying to prolong my career with the money that was out there to be made at this time in baseball. I suppose I don't have a problem with the drugs, per se. I am more upset at people that lie and say they didn't use them when they actually did. That to me does more damage to people (and kids) that look up to those atheletes. If they "come clean" and admit they did it, fine, at least everyone knows how they accomplished miraculous feats. Did you see Clemens on 60 Minutes? He was really a pompous jackass. Steve has disliked Clemens since he denied him an autograph when he was a kid (I mean, really, what celebrity does that sort of thing???).

Now, that being said, digressing to Clinton, I am more upset that he lied under oath about Monica (at least that how I understand things went down, I didn't read the paper or really watch the news back then...) than that he actually had relations with her. And, in my mind, extramarital affairs do not affect your capacity to be an effective president (unless, of course, it leads to stalking or other creepy activities), but obviously performance-enhancing drugs do.
