[Somebody received their regain package this morning. And well, Grell always loves receiving gifts, nevermind that it looked exactly like the package she got right before she ended up at a strangers house for Valentine's Day. Not that that had been terrible~ at~ all

[[This is Theta, sitting on the front porch of her house. This is Theta, carving patterns in her arm with a wicked looking knife and painting gears on the front of the house in the blood. This is Theta, looking up when she sees red in her peripheral vision.

It looks like she's even worse off than Grell is, mentally.  Nonetheless, she stands and limps out towards the street, uncaring of the drippy trail she's leaving. She offers Grell a smile, but it's a very badly worn mask, highlighting her upset rather than hiding it.]]

Good day. [[Her voice is tense and awkward.]] You look distressed...might I offer you a cup of tea? I've received some proper tea from home...

[Her eyes move to Theta's arm immediately, but she doesn't comment. She does however smile slowly.]

I look that distressed hm? I suppose tea wouldn't be a horrible idea.

[[She nods and turns around, limping back towards the house. She holds the door open for Grell, revealing a rather gruesome scene. It's delicately understated, simply a bloody trail where it's obvious a body has been dragged from upstairs down to the kitchen, terminating at the basement door. Theta walks past this as if it's nothing, heading into the kitchen to make tea.

She fills a teapot with cold water from the tap and adds several strong, smoky scented teabags to it. Then she takes out a clockwork key from her pocket and winds it up, carrying the teapot to the table once it's wound. When it's set down, it begins to pace around the table, quietly ticking.]]

It's lapsang souchong...I have enough to share. It was my regain after the Valentine's...incident.

[Grell does stop to drink in the scene. Her grin widens and she hugs herself briefly. It's so lovely.

Following Theta into the kitchen she leans against the counter and watches the the little ticking thing curiously.

But oh, oh! Don't get her started on this regain business. She just rolls her eyes.]

At least you got something useful. What kind of device is that?

It's certainly not the worst thing that's ever happened, I can assure you.

Well that's good at least. From all the rumors I'd heard I think I would be disappointed~ if that were the case.

Well, don't get all excited just yet. I'm certain there's far worse things than memory alteration waiting for you.

I have to say I almost~ look forward to it. [This will probably quickly change]

[She's just gonna take a moment to stop and stare. Yup. Stare at that magnificent horse. Then who is riding it.]

Might I ask where you acquired such a fine~ horse? [While Grell was used to horses in general, everyone owned them in London, she found it a bit off for this place. They had their.... cars. Which while possibly more efficient for quicker travel, weren't as appealing aesthetically.]

Did he call me troublesome!? [sigh] Just because I like things a little unorthodox doesn't make me troublesome.

Though I imagine yes, it was I he was talking about. He didn't happen to say I was pretty~ too did he? that would've been far too much

I would say it makes you quite troublesome.

I don't recall him saying anything of the sort, just that you were under him and caused issues.

Well it was too much to think he might actually appreciate my beauty and talent. He is my superior after all~

He really shouldn't complain about my causing 'issues'. It makes more paperwork for him, and I'm quite convinced he and his paperwork are having a sordid affair.

[Quinn Hatch rarely ever felt awkward, but that's how he felt now. To have these sudden memories of someone, with such strong emotions tied to them suddenly cut off, was pretty weird. And while Grell was endlessly entertaining, homicidal maniacs aren't usually his type.]

That was all pretty weird, huh? Glad ya enjoyed yourself though. I wish I could say that was the worst this town had to offer, though. But to think they can just mess with our heads like that is kinda scary.

[It's okay Quinn, Grell had her moments of awkwardness too. She's not one to dwell on it though, and it certainly hadn't been all bad.]

I had plenty of fun! As I hope you did as well~

Though the idea of messing with memories is quite uncomfortable. When they're messing with mine anyway. I'm usually exempt from this kind of thing. Troubling indeed.

A pity. I do think it'll be somewhat interesting to see how some of these worse events go though.
