A lot of times we write about problems we have, and we hold off on it until we have some new perspective- until it's fixed. I suppose we do this so that our audience can take something from it. But I think sometimes it's better to just blurt things out before you've fixed them. Just talking about hte problem can lend perspective ( Read more... )

You know, I find it interesting that many people reading this won't realize that our "over the top" definition is different than most. Basicly because of one of the things you touched on in your writing, we tend to focus on the emotion of the gift and are lavish without being exorbitant. It is simply that there are so very many of us. ::laughing::

I'm glad that you were able to work your way to a better emotional balance. I think the usual error is going to be very good for your marriage. There are many ways in which you and Joshua speak a very different language. But I see you as loving each other enough to find ways to interpret and translate.

I've even seen him browsing through the book a time or two!

And you do realize the best part of my "birthday" gift is going to be the time we get to spend together sitting down and converting/preserving all of my records right?!! I can't wait. We are going to have sooo much fun!
