I got an invitation to that ball too. It sounds like it could be a lot of fun, but I don't really have any nice clothes to wear... I've been living off of two outfits since I've been here. I guess it doesn't seem likely they'd send along any other clothes with me. All I have is my uniform and that white outfit, which is really complicated to get on ( Read more... )

ABSOLUTELY NOT! A charming young princess such as yourself should never need to be restricted by the cruel practicalities of the world when a party is at stake! I will dispatch a tailor to your location immediately, and have you fitted for something suitable! Even in this dismal world, there are still Cinderella stories!

But... this is a party! Practical concerns, and faults, and budget, should never even enter into it! Perhaps it is my duty to do these things, for the sake of damsels in distress, but even if that is considered to be the case, I am not doing it because I have to, but because I am moved to.

I am moved by beauty, and so I must show you how beauty can move the world!

All these kind offers... I really appreciate it a lot, even thought I don't really think of myself as much like a princess. I mean, if I were a princess, I'd have a really big castle and be able to eat fancy things like caviar on donuts whenever I wanted.

Anyway, I think I have someone who's going to make me a really nice dress. I still want to meet you in person and thank you for the offer, though. You're coming to the party, right?
