For cakes, I would consider not doing a traditional wedding cake. Since you only want to do a cake and champagne reception, I think it would be much more fun to do a variety of cakes and cupcakes as people will probably want more than one piece. These could be homemade then and decorated with a central theme, or with vintage wedding toppers or something like that.

i got my wedding cake at smiths and it was multi tiered and beautiful and got it at a very good price (i think 50 bucks maybe)

photogs are hard, i paid 800 for mine and i didnt have copyright to the photos. and the photos were novice for the price in my opinion.

We got our cake from Pastian's Bakery on 2nd. Tasty and excellent for like $250ish I think? Multi tiered and a couple of sheet cakes.

As for the photography that sounds really ridiculous, I would think $800-900 tops for something like that. We just skipped that by having everything done by novices, we did the disposables everywhere and have everybody turn them in so we can get them processed. I also had a couple of awesome amateur photogs who gave me their pics they took.

i'm doing disposable cameras for the reception. and yeah, i'm thinking pastian's or ABC bakery (which i love) but i'm not sure if we're going to the entire cake all wedding-cake style or offer an assortment of cupcakes like someone else mentioned. i saw it in a magazine once and it's now like the hip thing to do, so we'll see. whatever's cheapest. lol!
