I'm learning how to crochet. Right now, I'm working on a scarf, but it's not going so well. I really should've gotten some different yarn because this stuff is hard to work with, but it's so damn pretty! I hope it turns out okay. Maybe there's nothing wrong with you per se, but just your surroundings or the state of things for you. Ultimately none of us are really in control of anything that's going on. You can alter small variables, but the rest of reality is really what determines your lot in life.

A problem I've identified for myself is that I feel like I've accidently landed in another world that isn't as nice as where I came from. But that's just how things are: a constant string of change. And if you're uncomfortable with change like you say you are, this might really bother you. The trick is to embrace the changes instead of dreading them. Look at your red hair and short bangs as an opportunity to live a different life for a bit instead of a change from something comfortable. It's all about your mindset.

Sorry this is long, preachy and insane. I've drank a whole French press worth of coffee in the last hour.
