I should be excited.  Counting today, I have two more days of work and then nearly a week's vacation.  Oddly, though, I feel a strange sense of foreboding.  I wonder why

I hope your sense of foreboding doesn't manifest in something happening to you and your loved ones. I hope it's really as whitestar_alpha said, that it's worry about forgetting something.

And yes, I've heard of the Rio Grande here in the Northeast--in social studies class and from Westerns on TV (my grandfather was a huge fan of Westerns).

who hasn't heard of Rio Grande? O.o I think I first heard of it when I was a kid in geography lessons in school. or through movies, maybe.
