The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct1) I got the Walking Dead: Survival Instinct game on Tuesday. This is not a smart game, the graphics aren't so hot, and the plot is thin. It's sort of like Oregon Trail meets Dead Island. Honestly I am sort of getting to the point of being tired of zombie apocalypse everything, but I love the Walking Dead comics

I read a lot about Girls, even though I have yet to see an episode. It was pretty clear to me even from the trailer that Hannah isn't Our Hero in the traditional sense. (I love that in the actual show this is underscored when she steals the hotel maid's tip money.) The character seems very easy to identify with, especially for those of us who grew up with both a lot of confidence AND a lot of insecurity. It can be a toxic combination in practice.

I'm like 86 in line for library copies of the DVDs. Very very eager to actually see it, but reading all the commentary is nice in the meantime. (Doesn't seem like the kind of show that spoils easily, in the typical sense.)
