I went ahead and moved my riding lesson from Friday to Sunday, because wheenver we had make up lessons on Sunday, New York seemed much more mellow. I don't know if it's something different in him or in me on Sundays, but not having the TALLY HO! canter moments is a lot more enjoyable for me

Circles are evil, evil things. I used to love them on Artie, but on Kip I cannot get him to stay in whatever gait we're supposed to be in AND get a bend! Circles! AHHH!!!

Corners have always been my bane, but I'd gotten circles down on George. New York though--augh! He likes to throw his shoulder out all the time, so suddenly I fail at circles all over again.

And straight lines. Oh my god, straight lines.

Wait, lines are supposed to be straight?! Not sorta straight and then a sudden bugle onto the quarter line, and then back to sorta straight but w/ his shoulder practically on the other side of the ring?? ;)

Do not even speak to me of corners these days ;)

I have spent massive chunks of my lessons getting into corners. Oh my god. CORNERS. CORNERS FOREVER.
