So this has been Banned Books Week. High on the list was Sherman Alexie, whose books are banned for being culturally insensitive. The irony of course is that they are talking about his treatment of First Nation people, when he is one. Proof that one's political or religious leanings do not mean you cannot be a fool.
When you are writing do you ever worry about how the good people would react who cause the banned books list or do you concentrate on your characters being real. Or something else altogether?
