Hey there, Flames!
Sorry for the delay on this topic. I'm having a hard time these last few days, and I just couldn't get things done within my timetable this week. :-( Things overwhelm me pretty easily sometimes, unfortunately.
Since last month was unthemed, this will be a themed month. Personally, I like these best anyways. :-) This month's theme will be unfinished proverbs/sayings.
*** New Members: If you're competing for February, this is your first topic- link your entry in the poll below to have it counted in the competition! Also- if you haven't

Your topic for February, Week 1 is....
Birds of a Feather...
It's funny how that works. We might not be able to stand our present company. We may think that most people we meet are shallow, thickheaded, irritating, bigoted, or any of countless other uncomplimentary things. However, when we're among strangers or the chips are down, most people seem to turn to their "own kind", whatever that may be.
But most old birds have many kinds of feathers and can fly in many flocks. Are you a bookworm or an American? A woman or a Caucasian? Are you rich, artistic, or Catholic? These things are not mutually exclusive.
No matter what flock we pick, however, the pecking order is severe. We continue to divide and destroy over and over again, until eventually, no one can be touched.
Let your words take wing this week, and kick the month off with something powerful.
