Grand Canyon/Death Valley Vacation 11/27-12/05/2009

The trip to the Grand Canyon lasted 9 days and the sights along the way were awesome! Our first nights were spent in Bullhead City, AZ with Bob's brother and family. Ah Death Valley! One of my favorite places to explore! Did you hike out to the marker at bad water? The wood walkway is actually 2 feet higher then the lowest spot.

I only walked out to the end of the boardwalk and onto the salt a little ways for pictures; I wondered what they were walking out there to see; there was a tour guide as well. I saw a marker up on the mountain way above showing the sea level. Was there another one out on the flats?

It was all so interesting; I'd love to go back and have time to explore and do some walking/hiking around. We were a day later returning so I didn't want to take too much time because there was so many places/things to see and do. I'm still hoping to go with you when you can :)

The marker you saw above you was a flat area that is a viewing area to over look the hole valley

The walk to Bad Water is a about 20 minutes and... well. its not very exciting but bragging rights.
