I've been attending to FC since 2004 and this will probably be my first year I won't attend. It seems with the economic times being so tough and major hotels are cutting their rates to gain business; but the Fairmont is really (in my opinion) taking advantage of our "group" rates. I'm also unsure I'll be going - mostly due to lack of funds. If I did go, I'd be sorry if you weren't there, too. Why not make a reservation now, then cancel it if things don't work out for you? This year I've heard they are not penalizing people a night's room charge for cancellations. I lost my deposit last year because I couldn't find a roommate...

Hey; I'll see about booking a room; don't know if it will be one bed or 2 (I've always had 2) but if it's more than $123 I'll probably just do the single; it should be a "King" bed and I can take my sleeping bag. We can see what happens; I really would like to go. If we could find a 3rd roommate (like lonewolf) it would even be cheaper and for sure I'd want 2 beds. Anyway I'll keep you up to speed; I think it would be fun being roommies.
