CAUTION: FANGIRLING AHEAD!
So, after having Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles kicking around my hard drive for a few months, I finally got around to watching it. And, OMG. SO GOOD. Seriously, you guys. I know, I know. Killer cyborgs from the future, but I swear it's awesome.
If you're not familiar with the show (or the franchise--which I'll be honest, most of the what I remember from the movies is Edward Furlong and the phrase "I'll be back"), I'll try to explain my squee in stolen gif form:
This is Sarah Connor, the titular character. She's kind of a BAMF.
Like, REALLY kind of a BAMF.
Those killer cyborgs from the future that I mentioned? They're sent to the past to kill her son, because he's kind of big deal in their time.
John Connor, in this incarnation, is a little bit whiney and a little bit emo, but he's SO TOTALLY ADORABLE that I'm pretty sure I cooed, "Aww, muffin!", like, ever time he was on screen.
See? So cute. (Incendentally, he's played by Thomas Dekker who I knew from, and LOATHED on, Heroes. But like I said, on here? Adorbs.)
So, back to the whole cyborg business. Future!John decides to send Teenage!John a protector in the form of his very own Terminator. If you've seen it, not unlike "Terminator 2: Judgment Day". Except instead of Arnold Schwartchenegger, we get Summer Glau as Cameron.
You may remember Summer from Firefly where she played River Tam. If you don't, this is what you're missing:
Right. The show. Okay, so where was I? Cameron. She's might look like just a pretty a girl, but she's really a kick-ass killing machine. She's like Terminator Barbie. It's about as fantastic as it sounds.
Also? She walks around in her underwear. Which both pleases and confuses John. On one hand? Hot girl in panties! On the other? Robot.
But that doesn't mean that John isn't totally in love with her. (What are you talking about? I don't even OWN a pair of shipper goggles. PROMISE.) Guys, seriously, he's totally in love with her. I mean, how do you not fall in love with a girl who's sole purpose is protect you? She's his hero.
I'm SO putting up a John & Cameron fanmix in the next post. Yeah. Total OTP.
AAAANNNNDDD....
I'll stop here, so as not to get TOO spoilery, but I will leave you with one last gif. Summer (as Cameron) dancing. This is for two reasons: 1. Umm, SO PRETTY; and 2. I have neglected to mention that Brian Austin Green (yes, DAVID FUCKING SILVER) is also in the series! I won't go into his character, because I knew who he was going into it and I thought it would have been a better surprise if I didn't.
