So I got my SAT scores back. NOT GOOD. I got a 1930, which is no where near as good as I thought/hoped I did. Sooooo, I'll be retaking it in October. I'mma take the ACT sometime, too, but I'm not sure when. I bombed my practice AP govt. exam, although, with the last few review sessions with Julie, I know I can do wayyyy better. Dude, that's not bad at all.

I don't know how colleges look at the sections of the SAT nowadays, now that they've added a section, but let me tell you this: most colleges would probably love to have you as a student.

I'm sure you know about this already, but as it turns out, almost all colleges take only a quick glance at the SAT score of an applicant. As long as your score doesn't cause them to immediately toss the application in the trash (which a 1930 won't), you'll get pretty much the same consideration as someone who got a few hundred points higher. Also, the SAT is a really poor indicator of how well you will perform in college, when you get there. In the end, *you* are the one who determines that, and I know you're capable of doing great.

Good luck on the ACT, SAT re-take, and your AP Exams when they come around.

Aw, thanks Charles!! I've heard that some colleges (at LEAST UNC, which is where I want to go) do not look at the mew writing section, because they don't have anything really to compare it to, or something like that? But I'm not complaining; I totally bombed the writing section!!! (Especially the essay...)

So, *fingers crossed* hopefully my APs and SAT IIs and ACT will help me out!

Thanks again; I feel very reassured!
