Needed a script font for handouts for the Russian class. Went through a bunch of fonts and the clearest and easiest to read font turned out to be called.... "Marquees De Sad ( Read more... )

Since when are you teaching Russian? Which grades? What else are you teaching this year?

Answering backwards:

Calculus and Russian

11th & 12th (accordingly)

Since this school year. It was offered as an elective. The students had a choice of Russian, Yiddish, Conversational Hebrew and may be something else I'm not aware of.

Taught 1st class yesterday - it was a lot of fun. The girls are reading and writing!!!!!

As to frum secretaries, principals and such not knowing who the Marquis de Sade was, don't count on it. Depends, of course, how old the secretary is but the principal might well know...Not that it would make a difference if they knew the origin of your font's name. Or it wouldn't make a difference to me, that's for sure. After all, you didn't make it up.

I just think that the situation would have been rather funny. But I found a different font, so no fear! :)
