That was absolutely beautiful! I love the whole "instead of killing him she's brought him new life". I'm just such a sucker for baby!fic when it comes to River and the Doctor.

Love this. I'm not usually one for baby fics because they can so easily be fluff or unbelievable. But there is something truly compelling and animal-deep in people when it comes to having children. Both deciding to have children and/or deciding not to do so. It's part of the human experience really, that choice and experience. And so when fics capture that, they can be stories that really need to be told and really tell us so much about the characters. This is one of those stories. You captured so many of those feelings so well. And I love how you did it with complicated thought-processes that were then punctuated by these straight-forward sentences. Such as, "There's only one thing for it really." I could totally see River saying that to herself and thinking that. And then the Doctor. A lot of people portray the Doctor as too hurt by losing his family to ever consider having children again. And I could completely understand that. But I could also definitely see it this way too.
