I... don't think the noise had anything to do with Barbossa, Jack. But whatever it is, I doubt it's a good sign.

From what I'm hearing, having these chips removed has quite an effect on those with... unusual abilities. Since we have none, how will it affect us?

I've been told that those without any unusual abilites fall ill the day after their chip is removed. "Think of the worst illness you've had," they said. Makes me wonder-- can a curse and an illness be considered the same thing? Relatives? Distant cousins, I wonder?
