Both! I liked it and it was moving...

I can totally believe that occasionally the Doctor does visit his friends just for the sake of seeing them getting on with their lives. (Ten would most likely sneak around to do it, but one of the less emo incarnations would do it openly.)

Castiel is not a firm believer in fate, he simply knows that it's real. Every road goes to the same end, there's no escaping it. You can only walk the path set before you. Only, no one ever actually knows their own path, so destiny is incredibly similar to walking in the dark with thorn bushes on either side of you ( ... )

I too am not immensely familiar with Supernatural, but that's what fandom is for, right? This was really sweet, though. And from what I hear, Supernatural could use a lot of happy right about now.

If sneaking them into the house had been an adventure, following them out one night was right out of a storybook - and not the boring moral tales her mother, somewhat apologetically, gave her to read. Danny was a little nervous if the truth be told. He and Don had taken their friendship and turned it into the best relationship Danny had ever had. The first time he'd kissed Don he'd been so nervous but Don kissed back, held him close and then took him to bed. It wasn't perfect at first but they had tons of fun practicing ( ... )
