2014 is Coming

We're on lockdown tomorrow.  I'm not quite sure why.  There are threats, but there are always threats.  We don't go on lockdown over them.  We pretty much only go on full lockdown if there's an actual attack.  Occasionally on high risk days we go on restricted movement, or sometimes on lockdown in the morning until they see what the day looks like

There was an attack 2 days ago on a Christian school in Peshawar, and there've been lots of protests. . .we still didn't get any time off :( To be fair, they were peaceful protests. This has surprised me since I've been in Islamabad! (a good sort of surprise) We still have to be careful since we're an international school.

I'm very sad for the 80-something people who were killed and their families :( I also wish we could have stayed home a day or 2 just to be safe. . .I guess it's better not to scare everyone.
