Have you ever looked at people with children and thought, "My God. I could never do that. I'm too selfish/busy/whatever" for that? I do all the time. So are you childfree by ideology or because you haven't found somebody whose DNA you want to share? Me, I'm childfree by choice. Just like you say, it will save me so much time and money. I'm a moody liberal arts grad (and so is my girlfriend, for that matter) and there's no way I'm ever going to make much money. I dread the thought of trying to support a kid or, heaven help me, kids, what with the skyrocketing cost of college and all ( ... )

Yes, and all of us childless 'chee-ickens' are bearing much of the responsibility. We usually end up paying far more taxes than those that CHOOSE to have kids.

We also end up working more hours while our counterparts who have kids get time off to attend their children's softball games. Personally, I'd rather be at a softball game than at work but maybe that's just me. (-;

That made me laugh out loud! Chicken of what? Any fool can have a child and, trust me, many fools do. Don't you find it ironic that the folks who *would* probably send out some of the more - for lack of a better word - enlightened children, don't have them ( ... )

I too have been accused of being 'selfish' for not having children, something I do not understand. How can you be selfish towards someone who does not yet exist ( ... )
