I still wish I'd been there, although I'm disappointed to hear they didnt sing a duet.
I'm actually more a Sandy fan than Cyndi, but I did see Cyndi perform once in Sydney and I'll be honest she was one of the most energetic and entertaining performers I've ever seen.I've often wondered what personal or professional problems prevented her from being more noteworthy than she is,when ppl far less talented from the 80's did a whole lot better.....

Actually, I left a bit out by accident...there was another opening act whose name I forget, a little blond chick with a guitar who was really fun...apparently she has a few cd's out and was quite good, but I don't remember her name.

She, Cyndi and Sandra all teamed up to do Girls Just Wanna Have fun...they took the place of Puffa AmiYumy (from Body Acoustic) I guess. It was...interesting. Seemed a little... unrehearsed. LOL They didn't really seem to know how to sing together...but that just made it more fun!

You're right about Cyndi's career...she certainly has the talent and personality tohave been a MUCH bigger star than she turned out to be...from what I understand, she had some issues with an abusive first husband in the 80s...I wonder if that had somethign to do with it?

Aw, I wish I'd known Cyndi was in town. I had a crush on her in the eighties.

Although I must say, I really don't like The Body Acoustic. That and At Last seem like contractual obligations to me.

I think she's much more talented as a singer than as a writer, and I think that's why she hasn't done better. After She's So Unusual (still her best), she should've found some talented people to write songs especially for her instead of trying to write her own.
