The power that a song has over me is amazing. This always happens to me...I'm driving down the road with my music turned up really loud, and I hear a song and all of a sudden...I find myself in another place with all of the emotions and thoughts of that remembered past moment, flooding over me. It has the power to alter my frame of mind completely

Mmmm, I feel this way about art. I feel that art is so much more than what most people think of it. I believe it comes from emotions of all kinds. I believe taht it can affect people the same way as you say music can. I also think the same about music.

Most of the time, music to us can say what we are feeling that we could not have expressed on our own, I believe. It has always done so for me. Some music has saved me from hurting myself because it expressed the anger, confusion, and depression that I was holding inside. It was a release for me, just to hear the words that I wasn't able to say out loud. I have the same questions as you. I hope some day they can be answered, whether it be me or you who's asking them or someone else.

I think sometimes that music can express what it is not possible to say. Beautiful lyrics, like poetry, can create a strong feeling. When combined with the music they create a more powerful effect. The emphesis and iteration of certain words and lines take on a more powerful meaning, which have the ability to pierce through thoughts and impact hard upon the soul
