Frustration, Anger, and More Frustration

I've posted before about the "evil supermarket chain" which refuses to reimburse us for incorrect deductions from payments.  And it's not just us, they have a terrible rep in the food industry.  Yesterday I did my year end "tidy up" for them, and saw again how much they've ripped us off for this year.

I don't think that has anything to do with being a Democrat or a Republican. It has to do with believing in justice and fair play. Those concepts aren't restricted to either party.

You can bet if the overcharge was affecting their commissions, or your company was the one making the profit while they took the hit, they'd be all over ugly at you. Sounds like there needs to be the will at your company to affect their bottom line in such a way that they take an interest in yours. And a will to get the grocery chain to correct their errors.

My guess is that isn't there--because it's easier to fire Joe FloorGuy than to actually do the right thing.

We've held commissions back for this sort of thing before...amazing how fast they start working for us then! They're also very quick to go after unpaid invoices, because they don't get commission until payment comes in! But to be fair and realistic, it's the customer who is ultimately to blame. This particular customer has an awful reputation for this sort of thing, and they are privately owned, so their financial records do not need to be public.

The final #'s went to the CFO, so we'll see what happens. If I'd sent them to the owner the brokers would probably already be cut off, but I don't want to antagonize them to the point where they say "screw you" which he would do. No point cutting off my nose, etc. Getting to rant here does help tho'.
