Well, if things haven't changed fundamentally in the last 14 years, Denver's okay, Boulder even better... ;)

Denver is only 12 hours from here by car, not that I'm biased. And it's quite a nice city, really. And if you move there, we can come visit you next Christmas and take you to Georgetown and hang out in ski lodges and drink hot chocolate laced with amoretto.

What is wrong with Denver? If you like the city and the housing prices look stable, you should go for it. It is going to be your house, choose where YOU will be comfortable.
