Good points. One thing about the big advertising at sporting events (arenas, race cars, etc.) is that the SPONSORS of the events are being advertisted! If he could, I wouldn't really doubt that Jeff Gordon would have a big, crazy, artistic ad for the Guggenheim on his car, but Du Pont is paying for that thing (or for him to race, or whatever...), so there's really no choice. The same goes for stadiums and such. But you're right- I'm sure there's a loophole somewhere...HEY maybe in loopholes! You know...of the football players' shoe laces...;)

I'm sorry, I'm being devil's advocate. BUT it's just because I'm in an evil mood because I have that wretched Theatre History exam in the morning. AND as much as I STRONGLY DISLIKE football, I'd much rather wake up and go to a football game than go take that dumb test. So...you got me! :D

oh oh P.S.... Here' something else that The Arts and sports (haha notice the lowercase for "sports") have in common...the performer's high! I don't act very often, but when I have, and when the performance got a great response, it was SUCH a great feeling! AND when I finished that HUGE vase in ceramics class! (mostly because I was finally DONE, but that's not the point). Then there's that high when running, with all the fans cheering...I feel the same way!
