Two weeks into training for the halfmarathon, I can run three solid miles sans walkbreaks. This largely on the strength of a breathing technique taught to me by housemate/trainingbuddy, involving inhaling fast & exhaling very slowly. awesome! there is definitely something uniquely satisfying about that kind of physical exertion (the non-sexual kind i mean). that's what makes me miss kung-fu classes so much, even though it could be painful as all hell the next day if i wasn't careful.
