Oh no, and I thought you'd be enjoying yourself in Vegas right now! That sucks. But I hope you had a nice christmas anyways.
The Kindle Paperwhite is awesome - my dad has one so I don't really need to buy one :D (I think I already mentioned this somewhere, right?) Well I'm not really into that whole e-book-thing, but I can't deny that e-books have a few positive aspects.
My christmas was nice, I got a lot of survival clothes for our trip to Iceland. And a Depeche Mode CD from my parents, as well as a Big Bang Theory shirt from my sister :D Oh, and dried fruit!
Yeah-- you mentioned that you DL'd an MM book onto your dad's e-reader (I assume that was the Paperwhite?) but he hadn't noticed yet and maybe never will because he has a lot of other books on there.
I love Big Bang so much, but I was too busy at work to watch it all fall. Maybe I can get caught up now.
What kind of Iceland clothes did you get? Like thermal underwear stuff, or giant puffy coats?
I have a giant puffy coat full of feathers which I only wear once every four or five years because our climate here just isn't that cold. My mom bought it at a garage sale from a couple who had just come from Alaska and were moving to Saudi Arabia.
I hope you can find some undies that are not only warm, but pretty too!
Yes, I knew Jim Parsons is gay. I think he's in a long-term relationship, too?
I liked Seasons 1 - 3 the most, too. I think we have similar tastes!
I have to say the thing that really jumped out at me in your comment was the mental picture of you walking through a glacier brook in slippers. Okay, I know they're not really 'slippers' as in bedroom slippers, but that is the image my brain is supplying. And won't that water be a tad cold?
Wish you a very happy new year!! I hope this turns out to be a beginning of the most wonderful year for you! :) :)
What a coincidence!! I was in Vegas from 22nd to 25th Dec. I only just found out that you were planning a trip to Vegas. I am sorry to hear that it didn't work out. We would have been in the same city for at least a day!! I can't really explain why, but I think it's fascinating!
Congratulations on the Kindle Paperwhite! I've heard it's pretty cool!
I have been gone from LJ for a while so I have plenty of Dragon Lady chapters to feast on! I am glad you are having fun with the story!! And there is a bonus Justice chapter too!! So I am off to enjoy your stories.
Well, thank you-- you know how much I love your hugs! I'll accept it with gratitude. **Hugs back**
I guess Vegas wasn't meant to be, at least not at this time. I think I should just forget about flying around Christmas-time. If I try to get away again next Christmas, I'll drive, dammit! It was Whistler that I really wanted anyway. But I'm the only person I know who likes cold vacations. Well actually, I don't like traveling at all, but if I can go somewhere cold or at least cool, I'll be more willing to give it a go. My menfolk like hot vacations, but I refuse to go to hot places, and if I won't go (AKA 'organize everything'), they won't go, so no one goes. What can you do? I think they should just get over it and go together.
Ha - you and I both love cold vacations! :) Probably for completely different reasons, but still! I would be in Whistler in another week or so if the USSA would pull their heads out of their behinds and allow the young US skiers to compete with the rest of the world. Our South African friends will be headed up there very soon. Am envious.
Someday we shall take a cold vacation together. *hugs*

I would LOVE to take a cold vacation with you! Could we hike? And ski? (But not early in the morning)
