Well I'm happy for you that business is finally going well, even if it's stressful! I wish I could give you some of my freetime - it's not that I don't enjoy it but I don't exactly NEED as much as I have right now...
My French skills have deteriorated so much since I left school! xD I haven't had any French lessons for about one year and when I tried to read a French fanfic not long ago, I already had trouble writing a review. It's sad how many things you learn in school simply disappear with time, but that's life I guess...

Hey Brit!
I am so sorry for the late birthday wishes! I am logging in after ages but that's no excuse. One day, I am going to catch up on Dragon Lady too.
It looks like you are doing great! And that's always good :) Guess what? I recently got a step counter and I am also aiming for 10,000 per day!! Not that I always make it. But it's a start. It's good to know that I have an internet friend who is doing the same thing, may be it will keep me motivated :)
Good luck with everything Brit! Hope you don't mind my sudden visits to your journal in between months of silence. I will be around.

Hi Jo! Don't worry about being late. I recently didn't log in for ages either and I missed a whole bunch of stuff. I suggest not catching up with Dragon Lady until I have posted the final chapter, which I have not exactly started. But the good thing about Dragon Lady is that it's so much fun to write that if I can just get a stress free weekend where I don't have to go in to work in addition to all the other weekend chores, then I could write the next chapter in a weekend. So it will hopefully happen in July

Yes, step counter is awesome! The other day, I dragged myself out of bed and went for a hike with friends on the weekend - got in 20,000 steps in a single day. All because I wanted to get my average steps per day up. That felt pretty good :)
I will wait for the dragon lady to get over then. Good luck with work!! You sound like you are really really busy.

20,000 steps in one day is great! I think the most I've done is just over 16,000. Maybe I should call up my hike-loving friend and let her plan a hike for us.
Yeah, I'm really, really busy at work. But I came up with an excellent and surprisingly simple solution for that, which is to raise my prices. A lot. So far so good. But I still have a backlog of work that I have to clear. You probably noticed I didn't get to Dragon Lady in July. I may not get to it in August either. In September things ought to be a bit better under control. I've had to completely give up writing for now, which is a drag because every other year that I've been in business, August has been slow, but not this year.
Your message made me get up and pace around my office until I was up by another 500 steps! Jo, you're good for my health!
Hiya Brit! How's it going? Hope you are doing great. Thought I would drop by and say hello! I have been working on Saturdays too so my weekends have been cut short lately. I am not ready to face Monday so on this fateful Sunday night, I am going to treat myself to some of your stories and some chocolate pocky. It's been ages since I did that and your journal is such a treasure trove.
Leaving some chocolate pocky for you here. I will see you around Brit. Jo
Why thanks for the pocky, Jo! I hope you enjoyed poking around my LJ. The good news is that I recently made the decision to limit the amount of clients I take and have jacked up my prices to reinforce that. I've had more free time and am stating to return to writing again. It makes me feel so happy! My inner self needs to write.
I hope you got enough sleep on that fateful Sunday night...

I was feeling a little rebellious so I may or may not have stayed up a little later than I should have. But no regrets! :D
