The Better Business Bureau is a private organization that has no law-enforcement power. Better to check out the IL State gov website and look for a Labor Board or Standards Enforcement division, they'll be the ones with power to investigate claims.

If you're not a salesperson, then stop trying to sell stuff. Attempting to put the square peg in the round hole is a sure way of making yourself broken; you're actually better off finding something you hate that you can do.
