I never had a reason to think about it before, but as soon as a reminder arrived I realized I do rather have an affinity towards lions.  They're rather lovely and majestic seeming to me... Is this strange?

Without a doubt, it all relates back to something I remember in my childhood.  We had found an injured lion cub.  I ever so much wanted to keep

Shame you couldn't come to Tellius and meet King Caineghis. Of course, he isn't exactly the cuddly variety of lion.

What sort of man was this King Caineghis?

He was known as the King of Lions, and rightly so. Big guy, Caineghis, bigger than me, and even I would think twice about going up against him. From what remember, he showed you beorc more sympathy than I did, but at the time he was less of bonehead than I was. But live and learn, eh?

He's a laguz, like me, and took the form of a great red lion in battle. Hard to imagine there was anyone anywhere who could stop him once he got going.
