You loved with all of your heart, you fought disease and heartache with grace and compassion, you weren't afraid to get tangled up in a man's world. Sure, you faltered along the way. Part of what made you so endearing was your flaws, how you remained emotionally distant for so long and refused to admit that you were not fine. You were far from fine.

Thank you for putting everything I love about this character into words. It's hard for me to coherently express exactly why I love Dana Scully, but you were able to do so both eloquently, and, dare I say it, beautifully. This passage in particular really hit the nail on the proverbial head.
