Ok, I had a bad day yesterday (got a ticket for running a red light, pissed off my boss), so I thought I'd have Charlie "commemorate" that day for me with some of his not-so-happy expressions. he does that twitch in Anger Ruins Joy, too! i looove that! i've watched that over and over just to see that twitch. you'll also see him make a snarling face as he walks back to Reese in that same scene after he's just told off those two guards. if u haven't seen it, watch it again...it's HI-larious!

oh hells yes, the snarl face when he walks away - i loved that. i certainly did rewind for the snarl face a few times. it's such a little thing but so wonderful - damian digging into his awesomeness and pulling that out. how many other actors would've done a snarl face, or THOUGHT to do a snarl face? like, none. just damian. cuz he rules.

LOL he's "pretty in pissed", isn't he? there's one from Bob that i would have stuck one in there, too, but that's not Life.

oh who cares - this is MY journal! i can do whatever i want! (i'm still getting used to that) i'm going to dig in my stash right now and pull out that "you're such a jerk, captain sobel" DL picture and stick it right in there. just cuz i can! LOL

Thanks for the great picspam! In Merit Badge when Charlie is interviewing the little boy - there's a moment of sharp annoyance that flashes over his face because the boy's mother interrupts to yell at her son. The cap at the link below is the closest I've seen to capturing this brief facial gesture:

I don't know - they are such different characters - Charlie is a sweet man who is struggling to control his righteous anger and Yassen in Stormbreaker is an icy cold, paid for hire killer. But both characters keep their rage in check until they suddenly explode with violence.

Damian's range and versatility are incredible; there are so many scenes in Life, Band of Brothers, the Forsyte Saga, Keane, and many other performances that perfectly express emotions like anger, annoyance, etc. I haven't seen The Escapist yet but he looks really mean and scary in the few clips I've seen!

Great job in creating this picspam and introducing such a fascinating discussion!

hi! thanks for the comments and the compliments. yes, that damian is soooo versatile and soooo expressive! he is totally my fav actor! i haven't seen the escapist yet either but i've read that damian is very quiet-spoken and effectively creepy in it. as far as i'm concerned, the escapist can't make it's way to the u.s. fast enough! (are we ever going to get to see it???
