It's 4th of July - and I'm so un-American.

Although my office is closed, I'm working. I'm WORKING. While the rest of my nation (well, a good deal that aren't law enforcement, fire department, medical staff, retail, fast food, etc.) is at home, kickin' it, BBQing, getting their fireworks ready, just plain chillaxing, I'm...working. Ugh, sorry you're at work today. And, the old salaried employee thing? Really isn't nice on days like today, is it?

Actually, that reply was my parting salvo for the day. I did leave shortly after that. And how nice to be thought of in the midst of your celebrations (wouldn't blame you if it was more along the lines of...yeah, she's kinda touched to be working on a HOLIDAY!)!

Although I had to go in yet again today, over the weekend I dd manage to catch a fireworks show and buy some reeeeeallly expensive stuffed animals from Build A Bear Workshop. So not a complete loss. :)
