Whether or not you voted for President Obama, the "changing of the guard" is an opportunity to reflect on your hopes and concerns about the "regime change."

I was on the Mall for the swearing in with 2 million other folks. It was crazy and exciting, and it felt like the thing to do - one, for a sense of closure after these last 8 dreadful years and two, to pay honor to and show support for a politician I respect and like, even if I don't always agree with everything he does (the quality that makes great presidents, I believe).

He stuck true to a promise on Day 1, though - Gitmo - and I'll be looking forward to seeing the country under his stewardship. I think one of the big things any president does is set the tone for the country and the citizenry - I think Obama is eons ahead of any other recent president in those terms.
