Didn't want to get up today, but had to. Hafta go to campus to recruit. Wish Grae, Peyton and Liz were here so I could make them do this, but they are still outta town. It sucks, but I'll deal. Hafta have a high turn out this year. Gotta have a lot of pledges ( Read more... )

Gotta get out of that house for now. Walk around campus, go get something eat...just got to get out. I'm walking down one of the halls when I see ...well look here, Brittany MacAlister. Her face is certainly known around here, she's the new president of that one sorority that's always doing things. She's a couple years older than me but we've met before. She's quite the center of attention at parties. Stepping her way, I come to stand in front of her, smoothing my hair back away from my face. "Brittany."

I smile at him. "Wyatt. How's it going?"

Shouldn't really be talking to guys, but at the same time, he's kinda cute. Maybe I'll stay and entertain this idea for a while.

"Pretty good. Gettin' a lot of guys that are interested. How's your recruitin, goin? You're president and all, must be exciting." I lean against the wall, crossing my arms as I do so.

I come out of the campus bookstore with some of the books I'm going to need for my classes. The Astronomy book isn't in yet, which means I'll have to come back next week to get it. The campus is a lot less crazy than it was during orientation, but there still seem to be quite a few students wandering around, and booths for clubs and stuff. I glance idly at them as I make my way back to Mom's car in the parking lot.

Oh my god!! I can't wait to do this. I told everyone they had to show, we're doing it together!! I spot Janice. "Janice! Hey over here!!" I call, excited. "You might be late! C'mon!!"

I groan inwardly. Where the hell had Cecile come from? I drag my feet toward her--it would be rude not to at least say hi.

"Hi, Cecile--uh, late for what?" I ask warily.

"The sorority stuff!! Like I signed all of us up for this one. It's totally the coolest thing ever. See her over there?" I ask, pointing to Brittany. "She heads it! She's SO cool."

I look over from Brittany, she's like, the most interesting girl ever. And see Sophie too. "Oh my god! How awesome, Sophie, come on, you too, we're all going to rush Brittany's sorority!" I say brightly.

From behind my back, I pull out a clipboard. It's a list with a few pages of names on it.

"Janice, Cecile, Sophie?" I ask, once hearing their names in conversation. I flip back a few pages on the clipboard. "I thought I remembered seeing your names. It seems like..." I pause a little looking for something. "Seems like Cecile already signed you guys up." I am a little annoyed that I walked all of the way over here to recruit them and was probably seen by lots of people talking to these nobodies, but they already signed so I try not to show it to the girls.

"Be at the house the day after the first day of school. We'll do the whole meeting the sisters thing," I explain to them. "Oh yeah, and Cecile, make sure you get the other girls that you wrote down on this paper to come too." I forge a makeshift smile at her.

I lean down until I'm just a few inches from the girl's face and look her in the eye, with a look of determination. "Cecile signed you up. All of you." I wait until I get all of the words out and then flash a smile.

I stretch my body back up. "See you guys there!" I say, forcing excitement.

I spin around and begin walking away, and as I do my face drops the act. I'm trying desperately hard not to roll my eyes when I spot another group of girls looking towards my booth.

"Here it goes again," I sigh under my breath. My smile quickly returns as I turn around to Cecile, Janice and Sophie and give them a little wave goodbye. I turn back around towards the new group of girls and continue walking towards them.
