Behold, a Facebook reply from Zack Stentz, a screenwriter at Dreamworks, when he decided to intervene on a Facebook convo about XMen having underlying gay messages.
Absolutely the God's honest TRUTH right here. I'm more than certain that the writers, directors, and actors of such franchises are all in on the big not-secret together and are just loling at the clueless audience as they continue to keep us in the dark. It's like if you don't hit them over the head with the evidence repeatedly, people will just remain willfully blind to the obvious. It's both sad and infuriating.
Thank God for people like Zack Stentz who take pity on the believers and tell the clueless audiences, "Stop being dumb asses about it. This is how it really is."
Now that I've gotten into the X-Men movies, this becomes even more awesome, seriously.
Between "Mutant and Proud" and Hank's "You didn't ask, so I didn't tell," I was like, WHAT THE FLYING FUCK. AND THIS ISN'T THE MOST OBVIOUS THING EVER? First Class made it obvious as hell, even more obvious than X2 (which was so fucking obvious it could possibly be criminal).
