I am mean to someone. I can't help it. I don't like him.

How do you stop being mean to someone? How do you try to be civil? (when all you can think about is, I don't want to see his face or hear his voice?)

Suggestions are more than welcome.

I can relate. What I did was, at the height of my anger towards him, I wouldn't look at his face so it wouldn't ruin my day. Once we had to face each other (since he was part of my team), I put on a blank face and just tried to act all professional. If I had to talk to him, it was curt and business-like.

When all you can think about is you don't want to see his face or hear his voice, change your mindset. Instead of thinking those thoughts, think of all your blessings (your family and friends and how much we all love you) and how he probably does not have these blessings that's why he resorts to making other people's lives hell. Instead of getting mad at him, pity him. Sooner or later, you will come to understand why he is like that and you will no longer be mad at him.
