so, i was driving to madison yesterday to visit my folks. i was on state road seven driving through north vernon. there is a liquor store on the corner as your driving through the downtown area that's right across the street from the court house. well, at this liquor store there is a marquee sign that always has stupid little sayings on it. this

it's such a hard yet complicated question. i mean, i know my answer. but people have convictions in what they believe and it's hard to break them of such. these organizations that you are talking about, are they homeless organizations that your church supports?

the horizon house is a place that takes in homeless families and puts them on a program for 6 weeks. they find a job within a week, they save money and after the program they are able to move out.

alot of the people that we have met aren't even with the horizon house program. they are just homeless people that come and hangout with a couple of the employees, because they will feed them and hangout with and just be real. we've been going there every saturday to just hangout and try to form relationships with these people. we don't just give our money to the horizon house, we actually try to help the people by being involved in their lives. that's what it is going to make the difference....not just throwing money at them. we want for them to know who we are because we actually care about them and take the time to spend with them. we want to try and be just like Jesus, and we believe that Jesus spent alot of time just hanging out with these people.
